help and advice for changing email address please

i'm overloaded with spam - something like 500 a day! i've got a great email
filter but it's getting so that i can't disconnect from the ntl mail server - i have to check mail
every 5 minutes otherwise the backlog is too much -

i want to change my email address but when i went to the ntl site i found
that my primary email address can't be altered - i can only alter or delete
my secondary accounts - unfortunately most of the spam comes thru my main
account -

i've tried to contact ntl but they have ignored me

does anyone know
1. can i change it somehow?
2. what happens if i no longer pick up mail from my main email account -
only from my secondary accounts - does it eventually clog my account so i
can't receive or send anything, even on my secondary email accounts?
3. how to get hold of ntl so they can help me

Hey Glyn,

How have you tried to contact NTL? You're probably best to contact them by telephone.

If you leave the account it will just clog up and become inactive, but you'll probably be storing trouble up for yourself later in life, if you want to use those details for anything else.

Hi Glyn,

You can change your primary username (and thus your main email address) from this page: http://www.ntlworld.com/help/custome...rPassword.html - this should also change the username on your webspace. If you want to keep your webspace at the same address, I'd say just create a new email account and leave the old one to fill up - once it gets to 10MB, it will start sending rejection messages.

Regards,
Jimbo
