why does this sound like a pathetic attempt by the producers of the show to entice people in to watching it because of the adult orientated content, then again with a name like that......

Hmm, a low-rated channel 4 soap set in northwest England tries to use tittilation to make more people watch it. Truly, history repeats itself. :rolleyes:

People are rarely miserable like in 'stenders, and they do tend to speak proper english unlike corrie.

I cannot stand Eastenders. There is either a monthly death, divorce, tragedy or whatever. It is so depressing.

Happy? Everyone in soapland is miserable.They have to be or there is no plot or storyline.Happiness never lasts more than half an episode.It's a soapland rule.

Hollyoaks has different things like sunshine and smiley people.
Sure there's the odd crazed lunatic, back from the dead, who locks everyone up in an abandoned coastguard training centre and tries to top people, one by one, but that sort of thing happens to the best of us.
