Packet loss in Birkenhead (CH42) area with new Samsung box
Yo, I had the Samsung box installed yesterday, but I've noticed quite bad packet loss when doing netstat -s -p tcp. My PC is connected to the cable box with a normal ethernet cable, using one of their crossover adapters. This is what happens when I ping the cable box on my network:
Pinging 213.106.152.1 with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 213.106.152.1: bytes=32 time=10ms TTL=255 Reply from 213.106.152.1: bytes=32 time=121ms TTL=255 Reply from 213.106.152.1: bytes=32 time=5ms TTL=255 Request timed out. Ping statistics for 213.106.152.1: Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 3, Lost = 1 (25% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 5ms, Maximum = 121ms, Average = 45ms and then, if do netstat -s -p tcp: TCP Statistics for IPv4 Active Opens = 471 Passive Opens = 62 Failed Connection Attempts = 71 Reset Connections = 28 Current Connections = 37 Segments Received = 24232 Segments Sent = 22051 Segments Retransmitted = 935 So what could be up? Is the crossover adapter faulty? |
