Dunno m8 if WMP9 will do this i only ever use it for watchin movies now and then , but, there is a simple freeware program called Blade Enc (might have to search for it its discontinued) where you just drag the Wav file or whatever into the prog and it converts it to mp3 in seconds.

I use CDex which is an open source audio tool:

Re: WMP 9 wma but no mp3
blade enc should never be used. Its a bad encoder and unless you want quality to suffer you should stay far away as possible.
EAC (Exact Audio Copy) is the best around with LAME. |
Re: WMP 9 wma but no mp3
I'm a little confused over this too. My PC has the option in WMP10 to rip to MP3 but the other half's doesn't.
It's causing a problem when he rips music to WMA and then wants to copy it to his MD player as the software that came with it doesn't support WMA! I've looked for an MP3 encoding plug-in but those recommended by MS charge. I can't think why mine has the option as I've not specifically installed anything. :( I wonder what it could be? |
