BB and no phone

Is it possible to keep my BB connection via CM and get rid of my telephone service?
I do not have TV service.

grum1978 25-07-2003 18:02

yes as long as you have had it for more than 12 months :)

robmurphy21 25-07-2003 18:06

Do you mean the telephone for more than 12 months? Or the CM?

grum1978 25-07-2003 18:11

That is true as we had asked about this for my daughter who's at uni she didn't need the phone as we talk over the mobile and the net. So all she has is the bb. (although a while back it was differant it's not now)

yes this sounds like they are talking bollards.

I'm on cable modem without phone or tv service.

any luck? I got risd of phone last week and still have my ntl broadband

Stuart W 26-07-2003 20:52

I dropped my phone line when they triewd to introduce the "cap". I have no other services with ntl besides my 1M broadband.

I remember trying to drop the phone in the past and was told the cable modem is only an aditional service and not available as a sole item.

I believe this changed early this year, so you might have spoken to someone who doesn't know any better. After all, I'm sure I'm not the only one who has told ntl about their own offers and deals!

I had BB months before I even had a phone service with NTL.

etccarmageddon 26-07-2003 23:01

I've had stand alone cable modem for months now.
