Nice one!

And have you tried clicking on the link for "user community" or used the Search function?

What's sadder is the new format status page hasn't worked properly since it was introduced. Unless of course the object of the new format was make it harder for people to see how many faults were logged and the woeful regularity with which they happened and were/werent cleared up.

You cant search the archive or select previous months and get satisfactory results.

I still go to nthw.co.uk to get direct to the link at the bottom of the homepage - was better before when the messages were shown.

I do check regularly to know before I go home if the cable is known to be down before finding out the hard way.

It always amuses me how amateur the page is - didn't anybody check before releasing to the world?

The formatting of long weekly maintenance plans is also a huge step backwards.

Why can't ntl just copy telewest?

They must know the searching doesn't work by now (they should have known before it was even released) so I guess they don't care. A chance to show that they can get things right was lost (blown) by sloppy programming, and very poor QA.

Hi All,

I'd guess that work to make changes and resolve the issues has been ongoing and will be uploaded soon.

My guess.....soon :)

The formatting of the long weekly outage report is in the same format as the old pages...no paragraphs...this i guess will change as well :)
As will the history section I guess.

Cheers

PWS :)

My God :)

Look at the Service Status Page.....Its been upgraded and it has the history section working.....and paragraphs in the postings.

And was "soon"......Not a bad guess eh :)

So it is bye bye the link to nthw.com at last. And Someone has taken notice of the postings here?

Still prefer the old table format though

http://www.ntl-isp.ntl.com/ServiceSt...m=April&y=2004

(which still has the link to nthw.com, of course!)

as it is easier to scroll than to click on every entry! Can you (or someone you know!) add a button to expand the new summary into the old style?

Re: NTL status page update for email issues

Hi

The old format was just that...old. It didnt present the information in a freindly useable way and if your outage was ongoing you would have to scroll down until you found it.

when it was launched there was a small issue with the data server and the date formats which meant taking it off line to resolve...so while the changes were being developed I guess it was easier to do everything in one go......As I say....just a guess.

Cheers
PWS
