I was wondering where I would go to request a new group be added to the news.ntlworld.com server?

Last Feb, NTL removed a load of "useful" binary groups. If its one of those, you'd have no chance, especially anthing that consists mainly of 50mb rar files.

Well actually the group I want is a .repost of an existing group on ntl, but I've noticed that ntl don't have any repost groups so I guess the chances of it being added aren't good...

oh yeah, they took away all the a.b.*.repost groups around that time too.

I don't know, but I do recall at one time them saying that such requests should be posted in a forum that was open to anyone to read!

You can imagine the all those people being so willing to post messages like "please add alt.binaries.pictures.sex-with-soft-toys to your group list"...! :spin:

If I were you I'd dump ntl's news server all together and switch to http://news.individual.net/ who are very reliable and also very good at blocking newsgroup spam.

You have to e-mail them and you may have to wait a few days for them to add you to their lists, but it's well worth while.
