Cheap PSOne Screens
A heads up for you guys: You know the portable 5" screens (see here) you can get for PSOnes? Well, they are at Comet atm dirt cheap - 20 quid. That's about half the regular price.
You can either hook them up to your PSOne and take it elsewhere, or like me, you can hook it up to your PC (or mod it into your case. See here for tutorial) and have it as a second screen. considering Maplins do like 5 line/20 character LCDs for like 10 quid, 20 isn't bad for a 5" full colour screen. I'd hurry though. I got mine just now. I don't think some of the sales staff are too clued up about it, so you have to persevere a bit with them. |

They are a bit hard to find atm though. Comet have now taken the product offline (don't know if they priced it wrong, or discontinuing it, or what), As of monday afternoon Comet in Enfield (just off the A10 - Great Cambridge Road), had one left, although i'm guessing that's probably gone now. Romford Comet told a friend they are getting more in - who knows if they intend to keep it at the same price. |

Re: Cheap PSOne Screens
I notice you need a resistor with a 270 something resistance (I assume thats what 270R means) where exactly would I get one of those?ive got a mini soldering IRon left over from my RC car so that wont be a problem but I havent a clue where to get this damn resistor (would B&Q do them??)

Re: Cheap PSOne Screens
Maplins do resistors, but i'm not sure if you need it. There is a fair few tutorials out there about building it, and none actually mention a resistor. That second one I posted seems to though. *sigh*
