I ordered a CD from Rod Argent's website over a month ago and still haven't received it. The above address was given for queries but it just bounces back straight away.

Re: Bounced email

Just tried the other email address & get a different error:-

The following addresses had delivery problems:
<cargent@attglobal.net>
Permanent Failure: 522_mailbox_full;_group_quota_sz=3145357/3145728_ct=872/100000
Delivery last attempted at Tue, 1 Jun 2004 11:23:00 -0000

Can't find any phone numbers or snail mail addresses either. :(

They use a company called "NetBanx" to handle payments. Within a few minutes of ordering the CD, I received an email saying that they had debited my account for £12.56. I haven't actually received my Mastercard statement yet, so I don't know for certain that the money has been taken.

Perhaps I should contact NetBanx & see what they can do.

I'm still puzzled by the reasons given for the first email being rejected. I can understand full mailboxes, wrong addresses etc. but not that explanation.

Re: Bounced email

I'd contact your credit card company too, they are just as liable to reimburse you as the company that took your money ;)

You have a 550 Spam Prevention Error. There are two ways around it. Not all work on every mail provider, but at least one should work on all.

1. Check your incoming mail first (Don't do send and recieve; it sends the mail first, but click the down arrow next to it and go to recieve all). Once you do that, and they have your IP, you can then send mail out.

2. Enable Outgoing Authentication: Goto Tools, Accounts, Mail, then click on your mail account and goto properties. Goto servers, then "Outgoing Mail Server", and check: "Enable outgoing mail authentication".. Hit settings, and make sure "Use same settings as incoming" is selected.

Just tried a quick test e-mail using both of those methods via OE and it is still bounced. Perhaps XFS03 will let us know if he gets the same.

Double edit to make gender corrections;) :)

Same here.
Did both of those methods punky, and still getting same error.

btw...thanks for the website domain details iadom (& I am a "he" ;) )

As mentioned by paulyoung666, I think credit card companies only cover you for purchases over £100.

Re: Bounced email

Bizarre... Especially as it seems to say that in the response. It has always fixed my mail sending problems. I'll have a think and another look around and see if anything new comes to me...
