Automatically convert WMA to AAC. Convert the music you saved in Windows Media Player (unprotected WMA files) to AAC format.

Apple Lossless. Use the new lossless encoder to import music from CDs and achieve sound quality indistinguishable from the original, at about half the original file size. Plays in iTunes and on iPod.

I installed it, it insisted on installing Quicktime, I then uninstalled it and went back to Winamp :D

That's becuase the encoding iTunes does for MP4/AAC is handled by Quicktime. It's a minor inconvenience, especially if you delete the bit in the registry that stops QT starting everytime you start your PC.

It's still easier for me to click "play/folder" and hit "shuffle" in Winamp, I don't need anything fancy.

All in all, a fitting way to celebrate the Music Store's 1st birthday :D

I'm installing the pc one now, I hope they fixed that gearsec problem that slows shutdown.

It's trying me crazy running this bat script everytime I want to shut down fast.

[update] Yes, gearsec is gone!

Yup, just downloaded it via software update on my iBook and PowerBook :)

Also, the rumours suggest that the European version of the iTunes Music Store will be announced on the 15th :D
