ENG TV probs

Just before i move swiftly to the telephone on monday. Can any of my NTL NW friends suggest any fixes i might try.

Screen occasionally has ghost on it horizontal line, no its not the video test signal.
Or the TV at fault RGB from video and DVD are OK.

Its as though the NTL box is corrupting its tuning parameters by a few KCs(kilocycles) so its just off tune.
I have checked the eng log nothing untoward, and also checked the SNR and Return power that are within the specified limits.
Its not pixellation reminds me of the old teles that had a fine tuning knob (Bill C will remember them;) BBK will not:angel: )

So suggestions guys do not want someone appearing with a box like my last one as i said this is an intermitant problem .

Will record to video next time i see it

I presume we're using scart, not RF?

Does the EPG display similar problems, or is that clear?

unplug any other scart cables from things like vcr and dvd and try a diff scart, maybe interference..........

Can you give us more detail what the ghost looks like? Obviously a screen shot would be best.

What STB model do you have?

Iam going to try a fully screened scart lead it has been suggesdted that this can happen with Sony Brand products and STBs. Due to scarts breaking down

Thanks for the repairs and help

I had a similar issue with a Grundig TV, it wasn't a matter of poor scarts tho, it was crosstalk between TV's internal tuner and the scart input.
I would unplug all other scarts AND the RF input to the TV next time it happens and see if you can then pinpoint the source causing your particular issue.
