I wonder if the senior managers at ntl remember this load of bulldung.
The idea is there but the implementation of said updates seems to have been thrown out of the window.

The bit that got me was when it states that 15 seconds is too long to wait   well what would they think of the usual 3 - 4 mins and then a reboot when it all goes tits up. (good job I never use interactive)

Somebody forward this on to Azad and co. quick. :D

The Reminders thing is crap too. The old CWC software used to go back a week, so it was at least quite useful when going on holiday. The crappy NTL pink & purple software only does 3 days. How f***ing useless is that?

I remember NTL saying that they cut it down to three days to make it faster - WHAT!  :Yikes:

Viewers should never be more than two clicks away from where they need to be. For example, if they wish to find out what time a programme starts, they should be able to do so within two clicks from the broadcast stream. If they need extended information on that programme, it should be within two clicks of that programme listing and if they want to get back to broadcast stream, this should similarly never be more than two clicks away.
Or in NTL's world, ten clicks, a five minute wait and a STB reboot!

The EPG is crap for instance you want to find out about a programme tommorow the box goes over to 07 wtf, thus what yr watching you can no longer see or hear then you have to wait while the box decides if it wants to show you what you seak or NOT better chance to boil kettle quicker and sit down with hot drink than wait for the good ole NTL stb to work , if your lucky you will get to see what you wanted but for some it decides its had enough and does a freeze up on you great doorstop i hear they make lol.

Exactly, How on earth are you supposed to set the STB to switch channels so you can use your video's 28 day recording function, for your favourite soaps and other junk that we can't do without. No wonder so many are looking at Sky+.

It was suggested to me that the STBs simply didn't have the processor and memory power to cope with more. A great example of ntl buying kit that wasn't fit for purpose, and yet again now limits them to future development and improvement.

Out of curiosity how many days in advance does the Sky EPG go?
