Ringer tones
A year or so ago, various relatives had me looking for ringer tones on the Internet and I did find one or two sites where you could find free downloads. Not that I've looked much recently, but I get the impression that nowadays you have to pay for ringer tones. Am I right, or are there still free sites?

there are not really any free sites, however some phone companies (not Nokia obviously) give you free ringtones for your phones. Panasonic do and Siemens used to i dont know if they still do though.

Because they never give anything away for free and overcharge you for thier phones. But to be more sensible, they run Club Nokia don't they, which they charge users for ;)

You can get free ringtones by using composer for certain mobiles!
http://www.phoneringsong.com/ is a good example! ( i notice someone has used that .gif for thier avatar!) |

Tried it and IMHO a waste of time, pay the £1.50 or so and bite the bullet, worth it in the long run |
www.cbfmobile.com is a good site for logo's and tones, its the only one i can find that i class as FREE. You donw load the polyphonic ringtones using their WAP site, and these are included in my 100 free minutes, which i never use completely, so basically its free. It might be different if you have no free minutes though

Some 3210 ones...
I've got some others that are in an HTML text file so you'd need to extract the data (Relate to TV & Cartoons) I'll post em if you want? |

Whats it like to be common? Your the ****** mate - Nokia are always late on the market with new technologies, yet always charge more for phones with less features then others. Take the fact the 3210 was about £130 a few years ago yet you could go an buy better Siemens phones with WAP and a coulor screen for just £120 - yes, Nokia's are splendid value  |

Like I say, the prices will vary between different network providers and will also depend upon the tariff you are contracted to, I've always had a fair deal on the latest Nokia phones and have certainly not paid any more than their lesser counterparts charge. Maybe you're just not getting a good enough deal on your PAYG phone? Maybe they do lack a couple of features on some models, but I'd rather they got it right rather than offer me something that clearly doesn't function as it should - which is often the downfall for others.:spin: |
