i hadnt heard of monty python until i was about 17 :blush:

she said she does not know them either

Actually, you're not alone. If you watch any of the very early episodes, you'll notice that the studio audience sits in stunned silence as least as often as it actually laughs at anything. I think a lot of people claim they like it because it was such a major cult phenomenon they simply couldn't be seen not to.

How would I know that I didn't find them funny, if I had not heard of them/watched the films etc?

Of course I've heard of them, just don't find any of it funny, that's all. :erm:
