its time.......

as part of my commitment to whatever sanity i have left.......no wait wrong speech........... :D

i dont know how to start this off so bear with me, i made a commitment a long time ago to myself, to do a list of things in my life, some for me some for others, now its time to 'come good' once again.

i have little income at the moment, as im trying to change that......

what i am basically trying to say is........ i want to donate some money to charity, as often as i can, now i have chosen 'warchild' as my first donor in the next few days i shall contact them, in essense the point of this post is:

what other 'worthy funds' are there apart from the nspcc, rspca, cancer research, there surely must be more that are not heard of ?

Re: its time.......

If you wish to give regularly, try seeing whether the charity has the option of receiving 'Give as you earn' - this is one of the most tax efficient way of donating, as the Tax Man effectively gives to.

Re: its time.......

I give to the nspcc on a regular basis, and cancer research whenever i can (just because i think they are worth causes). I also give to the MS society because my Grandad had it.

I will give spare change to any charity that approaches me on the street. The only major charity i do not consider a worth cause are Oxfam. Huge amounts spent on advertising, and the number of pens that they have sent me through the post. Surely if i can afford to give them money, i will have enough money to have at least one pen in my house. Seems to me like the waste a lot of money that they get given.
