I can watch TV fine for about 10 minutes then the picture and sound go off. I can still change channels. If I reset the box then it will come back and then go off after about 10 minutes. Any ideas??

Signal problem, do you have broadband?

Either way call 151 and tell CS what has happened and demand an engineer come out to look at it. Most probably a loose connection or a crossover of wires which happened to me with broadband. Still not totally cleared up but better than it was.

Do you experience any freezing before this happens?

I have a similar problem
I went away for few days last week. Returned to find video had taped stuff I timed on the day I went, but the Sunday stuff was a blank soundless screen. Set video to tape stuff Monday - OK. Set it to tape stuff yesterday - blank soundless screen. Set it this morning to tape stuff - got picture but no sound.
These faults are rectified by simply going up a channel and back.
Just phoned CS - "Call us next time it happens". :td:

Anyone out there any ideas?

Hi mate. How hot is your box getting?
It needs air flow in order to cool, if its stuck in a cabinet or with other kit all around it it may be overheating.

Welcome to the site.

Thankyou for the welcome monkeybreath...

...Proppinupthebar.... it can't be hot as it is on a shelving unit under the TV. Lots of air circulation

Does it happen on all channels or just some, it could be a problem with one or two muxes. Post affected channels.

I've noticed E4+1 getting very jittery since CR3. Picture and sound freeze for 1/10 of seconds. Last night during Friends. ER on E4 was fine, as was goldenballsgate on Sky1.

Try Extreme Sports, or Paramount 2 when it next happens.
Also whilst watching E4+1 press Page Up, Page Down, Blue, and see what your SNR and AGC values are.

The SNR and AGC values look fine. Were those figures noted whilst you were watching E4+1 and whilst it was breaking up?
