Whether you’re frustrated by a deadly slow dial-up connection or if you think your provider is giving you great service, our Speed Tester can give you an indication of just how good your download performance really is.

Just tell us the name of your service provider, start the test & wait for the image to appear. Our server will time how long it takes to download & then calculate the speed of your connection. All the results will be collected in our database & analysed at the end of each month. We’ll then compile a list of the best & worst performers in the magazine, letting you know who’s hot and who’s not. The more data we have, the more accurate the average figures are likely to be, so the final table will only include providers that have a sufficient number of results. This might mean that smaller players won’t feature, but whatever your ISP you should get a good indication of how your connection speed compares with the rest.

IMPORTANT: This Speed Tester is for measuring dial-up connections in the UK using a standard 56Kbps modem.
