Quickstart pack - Thinner coax cable?

Received my Quickstart package and the included coax is much thinner than anything I have seen VM use in the past.

Is the cable still the same spec as the other cables, if not, how is it different? Is it a different spec?

Less shielding?

Also, the connectors are push fit, not the screw in F-Types from years gone by.

There is also something "shrink wrapped" towards the end which connects to the VM face plate.

Maybe this has been standard for a while but new to me.

Thanks.

Yes, the cable is thinner, but the short run will be fine. Yes, they are push fit connectors, this is because the average customer doesn't understand screw fit.

The shrink wrapped thing is an attenuator, it is there as you have ordered broadband only rather than broadband + TV and so the signal isn't being split between multiple devices, they are anticipating the levels would otherwise be too high.
