Any .exe file that is not from a trusted source must be considered extremely dangerous. Ensure that IF you want to take the risk that you 1. Scan the file with reputable virus and malware programs and 2. Consider the hardware as sacrificial, as in might need a wipe and new OS install.

I needed to run a keygen recently and AVG reported that it had adware payload so I ran it on a very old 98SE machine that I don't use for browsing and deemed to risk to it acceptable.
