A network change was detected.

I have started getting the above message whilst using my home VM WiFi.

Is it anything to be concerned about?

Probably need a bit more detail.

Where did the message appear?

Did it mention any devices/IP addresses?

Had you done anything? (added a new device, moved some equipment, changed anything on your pc/laptop)

Any other information - can never have too much detail.

It appears at the top left hand side of the screen of my tablet. The only change in hardware is that my router was in my home office, but the other week a VM engineer moved it to my living room so that it could be directly connected to my V6 instead of it having to use wi-fi.

Come to think of it, I think this was when this message started appearing.

I think I also updated my 360 anti virus too.

No, I'm using Chrome on an Android tablet.

So your router is now further away from the router/wifi hotspot and is losing wifi connectivity every so often?

It used to be two floors up (in the office), but now it's in the same room when I'm in the living room.

My phones & tablets, often flip between my 2.4GHz & 5GHz home network, nothing to really worry about.

If you don't want them to flip then just give the networks different names and only connect to the 1 you want, atleast that is what i do.

True, I told my devices to forget the 2.5GHz devices.

If it's just doing that I'm not really bothered. I did some research and wondered if it was VM constantly changing my IP address.

I thought that VM IP addresses were static though??

They are not static as such, but in reality they rarely change, ive had the same ip for the last two+ years.

My laptop used to be wireless but i tried to stream a file to my FireTV ay 30MB/s and i had buffering. I bought a LAN cable and although it plays now, when i surf the web i keep getting this message.

I thought maybe the LAN cable was dodgy but i'm not so sure after reading this?

WIFI is switched OFF on the laptop.
