Your line isn't the problem.

Their idea of what constitutes "service" is the problem.

getting pig sick of doing the job of load balancing for VM,upstream channel 2 up to 6pm, chan 1 now and looking lots better. before upgrade i had to hard reset to jump channel but now power on/off works during periods of high load. just wish they would force the load balancing rather than wait for modems to re sync

Just thought i'd have a game of FIFA before bed... getting a lovely average of 11ms jitter at 00:28 pinging the BBC.

Oh yeah, cause people's modems to disconnect even more at peak periods. Great idea.

yeah to be honest if they were constantly kicking people off to rebalance that would probably cause complaints, it would annoy me if I kept getting booted off, it be like back to the dodgy adsl line days.

With multiple downstreams they could theoretically do it one by one with no loss of connectivity.

We were talking about upstream.

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)

well they will be able to do that soon then?

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)

Well like I said it is just a theory. But having multiple upstreams will lessen the load anyway so may not even be needed (lol, right).

Can't wait to see how the introduction of 100meg around here mangles that.
