Well not arrived yet, but pre-ordered the 35th anniversary release of the Ghostbusters soundtrack on vinyl.

It's the actual score and not the main soundtrack.

I can’t remember the last time I bought physical audio/video media (or books/newspapers/magazines)- I buy electronic copies.

I don't normally purchase Blu Ray or CDs anymore.

But I do if it's a limited or collectors edition of something I am a massive fan of or want in my physical collection. Last CD I bought was 5 years ago. Rely on Spotify now for music, I still by Vinyl if it's a good release. Usually remastered.

I think the last physical stuff was a couple of CDs: Sky 1 and Barclay James Harvest Live.

Both to complement the vinyl and to play on convenience (PC ripped to my media server) but I still use the vinyl for the BJH live performance as it is still the best for this.

Other than games for older consoles, the last physical media I probably purchased was Gerry and the Pacemaker's You'll Never Walk Alone on vinyl.

I bought the complete DVD Box set of Bill Bixby as the Incredible Hulk.

He was mad on superheroes as a kid and still is now and it only cost £19.99 for all the series and films as HMV were selling them all off.

How can the 8 track possibly sound better then? Think your ears need cleaned, lol

Well anytime you apply a filter Steve it can make it worse.......

I try to buy cassettes,etc that do not have dolby as the sound is much better usually.......


Now there are some that sound OK... My Hall and Oats cassette (H20 - 1982) has dolby and it sounds good but most do not.........

For many years, I had a huge choice of vinyl records - mostly modern ones - but also including some old 78rpm Rex records. I used to spend hours listening to music that way and on Radio Caroline and Radio London back in the day.

I never took to tapes, but I did start getting CDs and music DVDs in the 1990s. But now I stream all my music through You Tube Premium. I haven't watched any DVDs now for some years as all the programmes I watch are from Virgin Media recordings and the streaming services.

Incidentally, the reason I now use You Tube Premium to stream music to my car's radio system is so that I can also watch music videos on You Tube late at night without the constant interruptions by commercials.

I recently bought Biffy Clyro's new album on Ltd edition vinyl as well as cassette tape. Also picked up the Top Gun soundtrack on Ltd edition purple vinyl.

Strange that current bands have started issuing Ltd cassette tapes though. Great for collections though.

Took me 3 days* to install it on my PC, so just working my way through the Campaign- I bought in the sale for £33.33.

*issues with Graphic drivers, firewall, anti-virus, running out of memory, but all resolved now

4) Mic Girinomo - Nothing move but the money/Vendetta - PROMOTIONAL COPY - NOT FOR SALE (Ah man!!) - It was a radio stations as it has thiier call written on it. (WVCR)

Both songs are good (Vendetta has "Do not play" written on it and Im not sure why as the RADIO EDIT version is clean and would be fine I think for airplay)

And I also got a concert on VHS :)


FAREWELL CONCERT OF CREAM -- I first had this years ago but the video was horrible,there was so much grain it was disgusting.. (They had digitalised the video)

I found another one a couple weeks ago and thankfully this is AN EARLIER COPY .. The video is straight analogue and goregous!!!!!!!!

The audio is over driven but thats how they recorded it at the concert,thats nothing media did.......

This record is awesome..... Its a recording of a band playing inside a night club in 1956 I believe... You can hear the ppl in the background and the music (All instrumental) sounds goregous!!

Thats happend to Jethro Tull also..... That vocalist didnt really likes Blues rock and let that guy go.... A Mistake because I got a 1972 album from that guy that was let go and its fabulous!!

Beatles - Live in Germany (1962)


It sounds like im in the last row farthest back (Cant hear them singing very well) but its still good.....


They changed thier name to THE BEATLES in 1962 didnt they??

I think my favourite song is the first song on track 3 "Ain't nothing shakin'" You can hear the vocals slightly better on that song....

Also thier "Long tall sally" is good also.......

Induction rather listen to The Beatles on a well produced and officially recorded album. They are that good they need to be heard properly.

Looking forward to getting the newly remastered version of Let It Be on Vinyl, due out shortly.

As mentioned in my previous post. I have today bought the new anniversary edition of Let it Be. Remastered and remixed by Giles Martin.

The album sounds fantastic. Still think I prefer the naked version of Let it Be from a few years ago though. Stripped back and so much cleaner
