Download to Ipad

Can anyone tell me what I can download to my iPad from my V6 boxes.

This seems to be a good way of getting things on my IPad to watch whilst away from home - but none of my recordings on either box have download activated.

Are there any channels where content can be downloaded?

It would seem this function is useless.
