What’s really baffling is that they seem to be just accepting this as the price of “freedom”. They are a strange, very foreign people.

They seem to be so deeply conditioned in their psyche that guns are a important part of the price of freedom.

Sadly it won't change not in a thousand years as there are plenty of things that are good about America but that is not one of them.

The scope of the dispute became clear at a bond hearing for Johnson on Wednesday when Houston police Detective Adam Bock disclosed more than 50 deaths since 2011.
That's just a dispute between 2 gangs out of 300, in one city(ie Houston), in one state(ie Texas).

In Texas, an El Paso-based gang has spread across the U.S., and has also sent some members to Mexico for training with the Zetas. They became a transnational gang due to the drug trafficking industry.

In those days the bloodshed in Juarez was so great that a day without a murder was front-page news. At trial, one Barrio Azteca member testified to killing 100 people a month.

After seeing the post from nomadking, I conclude there is no difference between the USA and the Middle East as far as relentless and stupid murder goes

although the USA have a greater density of Macdonalds outlets

These "mass shootings" make the headlines, whilst hundreds die every week due to guns in the USA. And many are gang-related.

Wilson said Crusius was bullied relentlessly by peers who targeted how he spoke and the fact that his clothes look

Police say they have a 21-year-old man in custody in connection with the shooting, and they believe he is the author of a racist, anti-Hispanic document laying out his motivations for the shooting.
