The Magicians has been cancelled by SYFY as we know but...

Seems like it will get a resonable finale. Exec Prod Sera Gamble “We had the sense going into this season that Syfy… was kind of hitting the point of ‘The cup is full and there’s no more room,’” and as such a fitting ending was crafted."

Great, it takes away the bitterness when they at least know it is coming and finish it off properly. I say this every year but i hate it when series get cancelled out of the blue when the current season has been filmed and left ooen ended or on a cliffhanger and there is no closure. Even though big bang is a comedy and you wouldnt care too much about "the story", they knew it was ending and i thought what they did for the characters was fantastic.

You do realise only one show on that list was a SYFY production. All the rest were aquisitions.

You're just nit picking. They were all basically financed by SyFy, and would not have existed without them, hence why (for example) The Expanse had to be picked up by Amazon after SyFy cancelled it (Same for the currently surviving Wynonna Earp). Its also the same for most other network shows, the networks "acquire" them from external companies, they dont directly make them.

Lost in Space has been renewed for a third and final.season. it is a shame because i feel like we have barely scratched the surface story wise for the characters and there is so much more to tell.

Re: Renewals & Cancellations

Sad but not unexpected, Netflix often kills shows after 3 seasons.

Its not entirely clear why but speculation is that they sign the stars on initial 3 year contracts, so renewing a show past that requires new contracts, which generally costs more, but doesnt bring in enough new customers to cover those extra costs. (Yes, I did read that the 3 year 'rule' is denied as the reason in this case, but I take that with a large dose of salt).

The previews did nothing for me, so I also skipped it.

Great news, i love that series, it just keeps getting better and better. They go all out on the action/combat scenes and they hit 10/10 for my realism factor :)
