Unable to connect to other TiVo boxes
 
We used to be able to connect between the three TiVo boxes we have, using the ‘other TiVo boxes’ menu in My Shows. Since a recent update it doesn’t work any more. It says it can’t find the other boxes, after searching for 30 seconds where a new ‘Trying to connect...’ window is shown.

Our superhub 3 is in modem mode and the tivos are connected using a netgear gigabit switch connected to our AirPort Extreme router.

Has anyone else had the same issue, or could offer some advice, please?

Reboot all three boxes at the same time. That will force them to reconnect to each other.

If that doesn't resolve, try eliminating your AirPort. I've come across problems with them a few times.

Definitely reboot your hub/ router as well as the boxes. Switch them all off then reboot, hub, router then TiVo boxes in that order.

No need to reboot the SuperHub in this instance because it's in modem mode so isn't involved in multi-room streaming at all. I also don't suspect a problem with the Netgear switch.

I’ve rebooted the V6s, router, switches, and hub and still the same issue. I also renamed all the boxes in case there was an issue there. I can see the boxes all have valid local ip addresses. Is there anything else I could try? It used to work very well and i’m not sure what has changed to stop it working.

Have you tried eliminating the AirPort?

Worth a go.
I had the issues with boxes connecting, and changed back from modem to router mode. Since then no issues. Did have to do something with renewing IP addresses in settings somewhere, as router and modem mode use different IP addresses and the box doesn't automatically update.
