Linksys EFAH05W

Would i be able to connect 2 pc's to ntl cable internet via ntl cable modem and a Linksys EFAH05W and if so how? Is it a simple case of plugging in 2 pc's and cable modem?

Re: Linksys EFAH05W

Yes you would, but that device is just a hub, so what you would need to do is connect the modem to 1 pc then both pcs to the hub ensuring that you had internet connection shareing activated on the first pc and that it was switched on everytime the 2nd wanted to access the net.

This naturally means that you would need to have two ethernet cards in the first pc, while thats not much of a problem it is a little more awkward to set up.

Your better off going for a router such as we suggested last week. If you don't want to go for either of the Linksys ones suggested there are loads of other ones available.
