What do you get for 200MB?

I have an emergency back up SIM should my BB ever go down. It has a fixed limit of 200MB.

How long would I get for surfing the net (no bandwidth hungry streaming or anything) until it ran out?

It’s so variable it’s hard to say. Much depends on how media rich the pages you visit are. Facebook with videos on autoplay would use that up in a couple of hours. My family with all their varied activities have probably used 200MB in the time it’s taken me to write this. I think it’s fair to say that 200MB is almost nothing and next to useless, except perhaps in a power cut if you needed to check your local distribution company website and the BBC news occasionally. I’d certainly stay off commercial news websites with all their in-your-face overlays and autoplay video adverts.

Thanks, i've been given this and have worked out that it would last about 3 hours 40 minutes, unless I've calculated it wrong:

My gut feeling is that this is correct. Definitely for a short duration emergency, not a broadband fault that could last days. These days, if you have a complete failure with BT they give you unlimited 4G for the duration of the fault (we have had to make use of this once, early in lockdown - saved our bacon).
