Amazon Smile message

Every single time I log on to Amazon I get a thank you pop up for Amazon Smile, plus a suggestion to install Amazon Assistant, which I did, but it was still telling me to install the damned thing. Does anyone know how to get rid of this annoying pop up?

do you need to sign into the Amazon assistant so it knows you have got it and will stop displaying messages?
