New Payment Contract

Hi Folks
Last Sept 2018 I got a new deal from £52 to £48. said 18months.
Today I get a Bill for £54.33p...Contract ends 25th March.

That's one heck of a hike for phone and 350 mbs internet.

Is this correct. If so I think I'll drop to 200 instead. What happened to the 250. ?

Getting too expensive just for phone & internet..Darn Ridiculous.

Any Recommendations...Don't want to leave Virgin.

Cheers.

Call retentions 'thinking of leaving us' - They'll sort you out.
Just make sure to call before late in the evening.

For reference; I recently managed £42/44(?) per month with loyalty discount, for 200Gamer and MixTV. I'm now on the 350mb for the same price, but that's due to a cock-up on their part :)

Well I called Retentions. press 123456789 lol

Had a lovely lady who was very helpful...Was going to drop to 200mbs but I so used to the 350 now.
Managed to get £10 off for April so only pay £37 but after that it is £51 a month.
So from £48 to £51. Better off if one has the TV as well. Alas I don't watch tv.

Me thinks it is time the good old faithfulls pay less than new customers..Will not hold my breath though. Bets it goes up by another £5 when the 500mbt arrives.

Thanks SirThomas..

No worries.

It's all about the kindness of the person you speak to in the end, but action is always warranted these days - I miss NTL, they'd give you anything for calling :)

Re: New Payment Contract

I recently came to the end of my 350mb (BB only) contract. I pushed retentions on price but the lowest I could get was £38.

I've now cancelled and arrange a reinstall the next day as a new customer (the Mrs) and I'm paying £35 for 350mb and a phone line I don't want or need, and a £50 bill credit.

How on Earth did you manage that low a price rtho782..Why should a cancellation give one a better deal..

Re: New Payment Contract

Because virgin media don't care about customer loyalty and give much better deals to new customers.
