Agreed - I saw it in 3D, and some of the effects worked, and some didn't (imho).

Some very funny bits (especially the "Gangstas Paradise" singalong), and good action scenes.

Colin Firth definitely deserved last night's Golden Globe, & hopefully will get the Oscar too. Pity the film didn't win anything else though at the Globes.

Silent Hill 7/10
I enjoyed it, special effects were very good, and the story was interesting, if a bit confused at times. One of the better video game to movie conversions.
