Are WiFi jammers effective?
A Chief Superintendent has called for internet crooks, cyber bullies etc to be fitted with WiFi jammers.
https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/256290...ent-to-prison/ I welcome this, but do wonder how effective they are. Does anyone here know? Thanks. |
Re: Are WiFi jammers effective?
Even if it worked it wouldn't block mobile data or stop someone simply plugging in an ethernet cable. Sounds rather pointless to me and as a form of punishment a waste of time.

What if said chav/Ned wandered into a coffee shop where the ret of the customers used wifi? Is disrupting them acceptable collateral damage for inconveniencing poor Wayne the troublemaker? Plus it's ridiculously easy to bypass. |
