Issues in Nottingham ?

Not had any issues here for a long time but something went pear shaped about 30 mins ago.

My server connections all dropped, and browsing sites failed.
A ping to one of my servers started showing about 70% packet loss.

I've had to switch to my standby connection (Sky) for the moment.

Not sure if it is just Nottingham that is the issue. Having issues here, in Manchester.

My Virgin Connection is crawling along. I was downloading something for a game and the rate I was seeing, was like I had gone back to dialup modem days. :erm:

Re: Issues in Nottingham

Whatever it was seems to have corrected itself while I was AFK
The router has switched back to the VM connection & everything appears to be working ok.

You probably missed it, all ok now.

Virgin Phone and Internet went down at 14:23 here, still not working.

(Fortunately, I still have Sky as a Backup).

I have had a look at my TBB graph and mine has been fine all day

Re: Issues in Nottingham

It seems there was a local power failure further down the street.
Im guessing thats not a coincidence, and it took out something when it failed, probably in a cab somewhere.

That trace looks fine, so I'm not entirely sure what you think is wrong ?

I'm pretty sure Area 30 covers all of Nottingham, you look like you are on the Stapleford UBRs, I'm on Basford.

My connection is normally fine, aside from when it completely fails.
Todays issue appears like it wasnt actually a VM issue, but a local electricity fail.

I know it looks peculiar for a trace but that is actually normal believe it or not if you ever want to do it for diagnostic purposes in the future you would be better using something like bbc.co.uk. Other VM traces have be done recently in this thread which have yielded the same result.

Was off for about an hour.

Its been failing intermittantly over the last few days, for about 30 seconds to a couple of minutes each time.
