UKTV HD free for Christmas

It seems UKTV HD channels are available to lower packages for Christmas. I've listed only the ones I don't normally receive on Mix.

W HD
Alibi HD
Eden HD
Christmas Food HD

Have you not had your bottle of Full House single malt yet?

Shouldn't that be malt vinegar?

VM would argue that we get free BT Sports channels, free HD versions of many more channels, a new free UHD channel etc.

Of course, we still pay for this, albeit indirectly.

We ALL had to pay extra to get BT Sports... when many of us NEVER watch those channels!

I have to get the Full House package to access the programming I want, Mr K. But I do object to paying for all the dross that goes with it.

Well one person's dross is another's must have. I don't watch any Sky output, but still pay for it. It would be good if we could tailor to exactly the channels we want but guess that's not profitable.

Re: UKTV HD free for Christmas

To be fair on VM, it has been argued that the BT Sport arrangement helps to attract and retain customers, which helps to keep prices down whilst offering extra premium channels to Full House Customers at 'no extra cost'.

Apparently, this attracts customers more than the addition of Sky Atlantic would do.
