HBO has renewed Westworld for a second season of 10 episodes to air in either Autumn 2017 or possibly sometime in 2018.

excellent, we knew it was going to happen though. It is like GoT, I just wish I had all the eps to watch now because I want to know what happens.

Luke Cage has been renewed for a second season, no details yet on when its likely to be available, but based on other renewals, most likely in 2018.

Re: Renewals & Cancellations

that sucks. I have read about the reasons behind Westworld's delay but I don't get this. There are certain series (e.g. anything Marvel related) which you can pretty bet are going to be moderately successful and definitely not get cancelled in their first season. I read that right off the bat they wrote a 5 season story arch for Westworld so it is all planned out so I don't understand why with stuff like Luke Cage we have to wait over a year for another season. The gap (like BSG) can only harm them.

Re: Renewals & Cancellations

Well in this case, its simply (I believe) because they are working on the Defenders & Iron Fist atm, they only have so much "capacity" I guess.

Cool. If it is the same team doing all the series for Netflix i hope they dont stretch themselves too thin like Greg Berlanti & co have done with their DC stuff. I dont think Marvel will let it happen, they care too much about the quality of their work.

Interesting point about the CW renewals, no mention of "The Originals".

Given they cut this season (4) down to just 13 episodes, its looking bleak for season 5.

This is apparently due to the current season not having aired yet, the decision will be made in May.

Good to see Lucifer be renewed. I was actually expecting it not to get past its second season.
