Firefox 69.0.1 - complete slowdown

Following my latest update of ff, system running very slow?
Loading Edge as a comparison my i5 laptop speeded up to what I believe is my normal speed of operation.
Doing speed tests to identical websites are normal, time taken to complete takes longer using ff.
Any suggestions as to what can be done.

I didn't have any problems either but 69.0.2 is out now, might be worthwhile updating to that and see if it makes a difference.

It's less than a month since the last post on here and FF is now 70.0.1

Its get update faster than you can test it

Still use 52 ESR in some places as I need Java. Telecoms vendors are not very quick, but we have moved users to non-Java version of product, just some admin tasks need Java.

Didn't see any problems with 69. On 70 now and still fine. (Laptop W7 Pro, core i3)
