I take it that this will only be in the USA and not UK. Or are there plans for over here?

That is Virgin Mobile USA - which is fairly obvious from the fact the LA Times is the source, and the costs are in dollars ;)

I am on Vodafone I have the iPhone 4 s can I buy a sim card from virgin and put it into my iPhone
