Latest trailer for Alita:Battle Angel
|
Re: Films to see in 2019
this potentially looks excellent. It is by James Gunn and I am not sure whether it is deliberate or not but it looks like a darker version of Superman. How awesome would it by if you saw Superman flying high in the sky above fying bad guys with his heat vision rather than coming down and having needless punch ups? Another one to watch out for |
Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other TV Snippets
MIB International - trailer.
|
Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other TV Snippets
I am not enthused but i did properly laugh at the end with the Thor hammer joke.
|
Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other TV Snippets
Actually looks way better than I was expecting.
Where as the new Hellboy looks dreadful. |
Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other TV Snippets
Looking forward to MIB, looks good. :D
Came across this today ; |
Re: Films to see in 2019
I have been given editing rights for my post so I have put everyone else's films and suggestions in it as well to make one master list and I will update it throughout the year as new trailers are released.

yup, the burning question though is what happened to his new black spidey suit from Infinity War? At least we know he makes it out alive..

Could this be set before IW?

Makes it all very exciting. We are expecting the post credits scene for Captain Marvel to tie straight in to Endgame and presumably now and post credits scenes (or one of) for Endgame will feed straight into Spiderman. |

|
Re: Films to see in 2019
I think it looks flipping awesome and I can't wait. I know the second one was quite popular as well so I am hoping they do a triple bill for them at the cinema. I would love to sit down and watch three of them back to back,

Re: Films to see in 2019
Looking good. :D

Re: Films to see in 2019
Has anybody seen the new Papillon film? yet as it will have to go some to beat the magnificent 1974 version.

Re: Films to see in 2019
I'm not sure about taking animé and changing the style to "real life" 3D animation. I remain to be convinced.
|
Re: Films to see in 2019
I am sure it will be huge either way (china) and i'll make a prediction now that it will hit $1.5bn globally. I think the only 2 films which will beat it this year are Endgame and Star Wars Episode IX, with Captain Marvel and Lion King coming in very close behind.
|
Re: Films to see in 2019
It's not flipping out till next year so I don't know why on earth they are releasing a teaser for it a year in advance unless they think it is going to be a flop |
Re: Films to see in 2019
Perhaps to enlighten people to its existance.
I knew nothng about it and had to look it up. |
Re: Films to see in 2019
I can see the core character/justice league films doing well but i think the two joker films, harley quinn and everything else are going to flop. They are once again confusing things by having a new Birds of Prey series and movie coming out around the same time with different actresses.
|
Re: Films to see in 2019
I knew of the plans to make the movie and 5he cast but had no idea they had actually filmed it already.
It's not really something that interests me though. |
Re: Films to see in 2019
My must-see films for the cinema are currently:
John Wick 3 Star Wars: Episode IX Avengers: Endgame Spider-Man: Far From Home x-Men: Dark Phoenix Really love to see the big action blockbusters in the cinema, then save smaller films for DVD. Still a fan of renting the disc version, as you get so many great extra features, plus it looks amazing on Blu Ray. |
Re: Films to see in 2019
me too, there are some films where you just cant beat the cinema experience. Avatar was a big one for me and last year it was Ready Player One.
|
Re: Films to see in 2019
I’m looking forward to seeing in the cinema this year
Star Wars: Episode IX Avengers: Endgame Spider-Man: Far From Home X-Men: Dark Phoenix Alita: Battle Angel Captain Marvel Toy Story 4 MiB:International Once Upon a Time in Hollywood Terminator Reboot (untitled as yet) Shazam |
Re: Films to see in 2019
As an fyi Alita is out next week with tickets available to book now and an advanced screening on Wednesday. I am going to see it in 3D.
|
Re: Films to see in 2019
I’m going to see Alita in 3D IMAX
|
Re: Films to see in 2019
Nice, it definitely looks worthy of it. I am classing this as my bridging film until Avatar.

Re: Films to see in 2019
I am sure it will be with Samuel L Jackson in it. I am hoping he will have the same attitude and a bit more violence and action. I'll post the new trailer when it drops this afternoon.

Re: Films to see in 2019
It also features the original shaft as well so I'm hoping it will be awesome.

Another TWIT(ter) none event.
Like all of the antisocial media sites, there are always haters around, waiting to spurt out how bad something is. It wont be long before someone is "offended" [on behalf of the andorians ?] by him being made blue. |
Re: Films to see in 2019
l will judge it when l see it as there have been many films given a critical bashing before and then one watches it its nowhere near as bad as the critics made it out to be.

Re: Films to see in 2019
My god Aladdin looks dreadful from that.
Frozen 2 looks interesting. Seems to have a more grown up darker look. |
Re: Films to see in 2019
Yeah i thought the same thing. I hope they are still polishing it because it looks like 90s tv special effects where they are obviously standing in front if a green screen and they havent got the focus between the foreground and background right.
|
Re: Films to see in 2019
Frozen one was excellent so hopefully the second film will be of the same class.
|
Re: Films to see in 2019
Yeah, it is worth $billions in merchandise so Disney wont screw it up.

yup, I love the x-men films. It took me a while to get used to the new cast in First Class but now that they are established I enjoy it more. I thought Sansa was great in the last film and it is going to be good seeing here kick some ass in this one.

Re: Films to see in 2019
I am still not feeling it. Unfortunately I think this is going to be a colossal disappointment. When I saw the trailers for Beauty and the Beast and the Lion King I got a certain feeling about them and knew/know they are going to be good. I don't get that with this and the fact that they have tried to include all the key bits of the film in the trailer makes me think they are worried and are trying to win people over early.
|
Re: Films to see in 2019
Well this is the third trailer and the first 2 really had people criticising it.
So for this they had to include a lot of stuff to make people notice it. I did get a lot more feels about this trailer than the other I'd seen. I am more confident now and think it might actually be ok. |

Easiest way I do it is use the quote option but change the quote word to YouTube.
Like so [ YOUTUBE ]. [/ YOUTUBE] All you paste in the middle is the part of the YT link after the / I think. |

My links don't look like that. I always see them like so
https://youtu.be/Ye1ir8MQS4w So it is the part after the / I usually click the share option and copy link when I am using the app on my phone or tablet. |
