Speed required for UHD TV...
Hi, I hope I've posted this in the right place? My current set up is I have my Shub in modem mode attached to an Asus RT-AC87U router. Because my V6 box is in the furthest corner of my house away from my router, I also have an Asus RP-AC68U extender to boost the signal. I have tried using powerlines in the past but find them a bit flakey.
This works very well and gives me a very good signal to the V6. When I check the speed, it seems to always be 195 or 216 Mbps. My question is, if I changed my TV to a UHD capable one, is that sort of speed good enough to provide me with a 4K picture, either via Netflix or the new forthcoming VM channel? Any thoughts gratefully received. |
Re: Speed required for UHD TV...
Netflix requires 16Mpbs to download its current highest quality.
The UHD channels from VirginMedia are tv channel so do NOT download on the internet. |
