How many gigs a month do you normally download out of interest?

To answer the question, in my experience Giganews is great. I have tried various other usenet providers over the years and they have proved to be the most stable and continually max out my 10 meg line all day every day except the last 2 :)

:)

I know people around here that do hammer them 24/7 on an unlimited news account, and we are not talking a few gigs here and there. I have been known to download a fair amount some days not always but some. But if my downloading was affecting someones connection i would be the first to moderate it.

It was higher earlier in the year. But looking at the full year total I downloaded 900 gig. Since I got a new job I haven't really had time to do all that much.

Well i have exceeded that every month by a long way ;).

All done between midnight and 8.00 am. Never in peak time. However if they decided to bring this in then i don't see why i should limit my times if NTL do this to me. Not happened to me yet, But i am not in Swansea.

I am wondering whether it is a trial to see maybe the effects of hardcore 24/7 leeching on the Hi Def service? Especially during the time Eastenders broadcasts :)

Maybe you can advise more on this Bill?

2 different systems. Downloading would not have any effect on the digital TV transport streams or on Hd.
