Re: Planets Visible in the Night Sky
Don't need a telescope to see some of these planets either. Venus, Mars and Jupiter are very visible with the naked eye. Venus is the brightest light you'll see bar the Sun/Moon, and Mars looks like a pink star. With even a low level telescope or binoculars you can see the moon's orbiting Jupiter. Look up, there's lots there !

Re: Planets Visible in the Night Sky
I took my first proper manual photo the other week of the super snow moon, next full moon it will be warmer and I can adjust the setting to darken the image.

Re: Planets Visible in the Night Sky
There are many apps for android and iPhone that show you what stars and planets are in the sky around you using the GPS.
A great and simple way to identify what you are looking at |
Re: Planets Visible in the Night Sky
Take a pic of the moon when it's not full. You'll be able to see the individual craters and the shadows they cast on the terminator.

Yes i h ave even been able to look at the moon with nothing and see the darker spots where the craters are,etc....
Space is amazing! |
