One Drive issue

1 Attachment(s)
Hi Guys One Drive is driving me nuts and im wondering if anyone can tell me how to fix the issue.

I currently have an error saying 11 issues found and a red cross on the one drive icon all because i moved some links from the desktop into a folder making the desktop look cleaner.

Anyone have any ideas how i can go and fix this please?
Thanks.

There is help link displayed in that screenshot - have you look at that and if so what did it say?

Permissions issue on the shortcuts if you really want to back up shortcuts you will need to change the permissions on each one.

all files have permissions set to them. Right click the shortcut select properties the security you will see what permissions are set to the shortcut

I do not backup my desktop to one drive I only back up manually. And I certainly would not back up shortcuts but to get you an answer I used a simple google search request for "one drive shortcut back up issue" and it gave the answer. Google is very friendly that way hehehe

Re: One Drive issue

All my permissions are set to access fully so its not that.

How can I delete the links from one drive itself so I don't get the error as its not even giving me that option.

I hide all the icons on the desktop. Right click desktop/view/ left click "show desktop icons" then do the same to bring them back when you need them.

I have in the past used Stardock Fences to do that just a double to hide and double click to show again

Have you clicked on the very top of the pop up where it says 'Click to learn more about these issues and how to resolve them'?

I just put links back on desktop and the second time it got rid of the error for now thankfully and gimmie time to sort out what's causing the issue.
