I already use Linux mostly, all family machines are Linux.

Windows 10 on main PC for games and some apps not under Linux but those are rarer now, Linux/GNU stuff is more than good enough.

XP SP3 on the main system. No problems. W7 pro on the lappy. No plans to change.

The upgrade treadmill is just silly.
