yeah, if the season 7 finale is the 100th episode it sounds like they want to go out with a bang. I am glad they care enough to make sure that "The 100" has 100 episodes, it is cliché but who cares.

100 episodes is the traditional point for syndication, which will be why they extended it.

interesting, I never knew that. Also probably why back in the good old days full seasons were 26 episodes for a perfect half year run.

I knew that but I still think the 100th episode could be the last. Let's face it it's a season away, anything (storywise) could happen between then and now.

Perhaps I'm just unusually being a pessimist.:confused:

yeah, hopefully though they are going to get plenty of notice if the series is ending so the writers can sit down and know they have got 16 episodes to finish off the series properly and do it justice. Like GoT, the characters have been through so much and come so far, they deserve a good send off.
