I have an 11 Meter radio and I heard some UK stuff this morning....This mate was on 27.730 and I tried to get back to him but I dont think he heard me.... (He wasnt that strong and was probably pushing much more than me (10 Watts))

One time I did talk to some guy in France on USB (Upper Sideband for those who dont know) and I suggested going to FM and see if we could make it...... He said he could barely hear me........ (That was several years ago)

I was scanning this morning and I heard some FM traffic on 26.815 so I flipped to FM. They were both in florida and heard me fine :)

Its harder to talk skip on FM because of the natural hash level,the signal has to be stronger a little......


Hey Paul or anyone else in the UK.... Do you guys have alot of AM traffic on 11 metres?? (I guess you guys having AM is like us having FM (Not too much))

I wish more used FM here,it sounds much better!! (Cleaner,etc)
