Where has the the search bar gone to for the Virgin Media Home page (e.g. Google).

It's been removed, and I don't believe it's coming back.

All modern browsers allow you to search Google directly from the address bar.

My guess would be that as the page you have linked to is served over HTTP and not HTTPS, using the search box would have triggered "Not Secure" warnings in the latest versions of Google Chrome, which is embarrassing for a company the size of VM. The real fix would be to use HTTPS for everything.

Or it could just be that it was a worthless feature that nobody used?
