The Man in the High Castle
It's "Pilot Season" again on Amazon, and one of the potential shows this year is an adaptation of The Man in the High Castle, an alternate history novel by Philip K. Dick.
It is set in America... 20 years after Germany and Japan won WWII and divided the country between them. It's been adapted by Frank Spotnitz (The X Files) and is produced by Ridley Scott's Scott Free Productions. IGN gave the pilot a good review: http://uk.ign.com/articles/2015/01/1...-castle-review I've never read the original book, so I don't know how faithful it is, but I really enjoyed the pilot. |
Re: The Man in the High Castle
Season 2 of this is apparently due to start on 19th November [2016], with one episode per night through to the 28th.

Re: The Man in the High Castle
Been watching this for some months (season 1), it's not really "new" in that respect. It is interesting idea though and more complex than it first seems, especially around "the film" showing Allied victory.

Re: The Man in the High Castle
So far few adaptations of Dick's books have been that good..Sadly.

Re: The Man in the High Castle
If anyone is still interested in this, Season 3 came out a few weeks ago, and it was renewed for Season 4.

Re: The Man in the High Castle
I enjoyed it but did it get advertised at all? I just randomly saw it appear on Prime.

Well it looks better than the previous seasons, I'll give it one more try when it comes out.
