Adobe flash Player
What does this mean, and will it affect my internet activity in any way, please?

Re: Adobe flash Player
Unlikely to have much effect.
Very few sites use Flash these days. |
Re: Adobe flash Player
Flash is an abomination that uses a ton of resources and makes websites more difficult to access for visually impaired users. I don’t think anyone will miss it.

Re: Adobe flash Player
There are still many sites that use it for mindless games.

Re: Adobe flash Player
Flash on that version of Windows hasn't been updated for 10 years, so I wouldn't think the kill switch is in there either.

Re: Adobe flash Player
No, they're actually realising that Flash is a horrible piece of software and everyone has moved on to much better alternatives. You just need to move on and start living in the modern era because soon you'll barely be able to use the internet due to using such outdated software.

Re: Adobe flash Player
I very reluctantly moved from a totally stable Vista PC to a new one running Win10.
Vista just made things so difficult as sites refused to open, software was unable to be updated, and some software suddenly refused to run at all. A few tweaks with Classic Shell, and Win10 now looks and acts like Vista (and is a lot more user-friendly in that mode). There are a few Win10 oddities that linger, but I rarely use them anyway. And Microsoft dumping Edge on my machine was met with my deleting all icons for it (it appears to be stuck to the PC like superglue). And, after using the flaky Firefox for a while, I returned to Opera which flies on Win10. |

Brave is also a good one too. My main is Vivaldi though on laptop and my phone.
