Wii display issues (dots/lines on screen)
Hi all,
I noticed this since I got my Wii that there was often a strange short vertical line about two thirds across the screen on my CRT TV. I have since bought a 47" TV and could still see that line appearing on and off. I bought a cheap component cable off ebay which allowed me to select the 480p display resolution for the HD TV. I did this and now have noticed a number of little flickering dots in little lines around the screen. I don't know if this is because the cable was cheap or if it has made the issue worse than before with the 480 resolution? I was tempted to get the Wii HDMI converter off ebay but as they're around £12 or more I would rather not if I'd just get the same result as the composite cables? Any ideas anyone? :) |

Sounds like an issue with graphics chip or graphics memory on the Wii itself.. Not something most can fix at home

Cool, cheers Kymmy. It's not too major, I might just get a PS3 instead now! :)

It's also a common fault on PC video cards ;)
