Whyte vs Parker

Whyte vs Parker tonight on Box Office, tasty fight.
Some decent undercard showings.

Smart move says Parker wins over 12. Whyte is capable of a KO though moreso than Parker but it really could be a tight bout.

Cedric punches Benn, he then falls to the floor and Benn gets the knockdown and a 10-8 for a round he lost :dunce: decent mistake by the ref there.

Benn lucky not to be on his arse. Can't understand it because he has good movement but inexplicably plants his feet and waves his chin around like Anderson Silva.

Two 10-8's now and the final few rounds will see Benn win. Took him too long to get into the fight but he can control it now.

Cedric looks blown out combined with the body shot.

Benn wins, tried an Ali shuffle at the end of the fight and fell over.. Embarrassing after a down then up performance.

Derek Chisora looks the right bum these days.

We have a war on our hands.

Chisora vs Takam

Carlos Takam got blown away. What a shot.

Parker floored by a head clash. I feel like Parker has reached his level. I can't imagine him beating elite heavyweights. Has a great skill set but he's just outmatched for pure strength against top guys.

Parker looks so uncomfortable everytime he gets hit. Joshua will be regretting not gunning for him. Joseph Parker has brought a knife to a tank fight. He looks absolutely buggered. A body shot could end this. Regardless though Parker has shown some massive flaws tonight.

Parker is being bullied. The judges might have it all the other way but he's been exposed tonight. He could win this and he'll still have lost ultimately. I'm gobsmacked.

l don't need to watch the fight adzii as your succinct Cable Forum commentary on here will do.:)

A pretty gruelling fight and Whyte still has much to learn IMO as he still looks inexperienced at times.

Re: Whyte vs Parker

Eddie Hearn really is delivering PPVs actually worth buying. A rare occasion in British boxing.

Golden boy needs to be on the look out because I'm deadly serious when I say Hearn threatens to take away the Vegas payday and replace it with high profile stadium superfights. If Khan vs Pacqiuao happens on the UK then we're only further backing that idea. The talent Hearn has right now is monumental. If Khan actually beats Pacquiao then he's laughing. He'll be able to attract half of the 147 division to London.

Long story short. Huge times for world boxing events in the UK.

As for last night. A standard win for Katie Taylor.

Conor Benn - slugged out a win but seriously lacking fundamentals. Definitely young enough to sort that out. Has great movement but finds himself in more trouble than he need be. Can absolutely see him getting knocked out before they drill it into him though.

Derek Chisora absorbed round after round of punishment before absolutely destroying Carlos Takam in two punches. A sensational stoppage from the up and down Chisora who's got one of the best chins in business. Nothing really more to say, he hasn't got world level talent.

Dillian Whyte vs Joseph Parker.

Parker got absolutely bullied and he hated every second of it. By the time he got Whyte in trouble it was all too late and that was down to Dillian being exhausted more than anything else. Parker was horribly exposed. He's not an elite heavyweight. He's in a bracket above the likes of Charles Martin and below the likes of AJ and Wilder. He's quick and has solid skills but he's no knockout artist, his power is so clearly overhyped and he's got the height but not really the true heavyweight shape. I don't think Whyte is that much greater despite the win. He's certainly improved but his fighting style is just a knockout waiting to happen against AJ or Wilder.

Heavyweight boxing is in a very precarious place right now. Not even joking but Bellew has brought in David Haye as his advisor. Which I guess makes sense given they both have identical career paths but crazy at the same time.
